Mitch ThompsonMitch Thompson ASID, president of Thompson Interior Associates., is a full member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Along with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Interior Design from Montana State University, he has also successfully completed and satisfied all requirements of the National Council of Interior Design Qualification Board.

Associated in the design field for the last twenty years, Mitch spent six years with A & E Architects prior to 1990, and became an associate in 1987. As a project manager and interior designer, he was involved in numerous historical as well as new structures throughout the Intermountain Region. Most notable was Lake Hotel in Yellowstone National Park.

In 1990, Mitch started RIVER RUN INTERIORS a full service interiors retail store. He was responsible for all aspects of Interior Design for Retail Stores, Law Offices, Restaurants, Residential as well as large monumental work such as interior design of the guest rooms at the Old Faithful Inn - Yellowstone National Park. In 1993, Mitch was recognized for his work by a national publication, Hospitality Design Magazine. As the owner of RIVER RUN INTERIORS, Mitch Thompson directed an interior design/retail business supplying both residential and commercial businesses with furniture, accessories, etc. as well as offering a wide range of design services for all types of clients.

THOMPSON INTERIOR ASSOCIATES was founded in 1994 for the purpose of providing more complete Interior Design Services. Specializing in hotels, resorts and restaurant design this firm is currently working on projects all over the United States. The firm is active in Colorado with new large-scale projects in Telluride, Beaver Creek as well as Denver. Mitch Thompson is also working with Golf Lodging on a Pete Dye Golf Course Club House and Lodging project in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Mitch Thompson and Associates has enjoyed almost total exclusivity in being the designer of choice for many of this countries most historically sensitive projects.
